Kiss Me, Kill Me - Maggie Shayne This was a great ending to this series. The first book was just so/so but this one is definitely worth reading. All these stories are tied together so you really should read all three but the first one is kinda slow.

This final book in the series is the complete opposite. It is page turning with great characters. I liked Carrie but I didn't love her and I loved Gabe. The ending was so sweet and made me cry. It was a bit cheesy as well but I'm a big fan of cheese (in books and as a delicious snack). :) Carrie's son Sam is a good kid.

The only thing was with the "villian" of the piece. Compared to the other two books it was a bit silly, really. However, it really didn't take that much away from the book.

I've enjoyed Maggie Shayne since I read my first book by her, Annie's Hero although I prefer her paranormals. She writes a pretty decent romantic suspense but I keep coming back to her paranormals. Her witch series is one of my favorites. If you haven't read her give her a try but I wouldn't recommend Killing Me Softly as I don't think it is her best work. Try one of her paranormals. Annie's Hero is good. It is what got me on her books.
