Definitely better than her last full length novel. This had an awesome hero in it, just like in my other more recent favorite of hers, High Noon. Gull was funny, charming and tough. I loved his witty remarks to Rowan.
Rowan, well, she took a bit of growing to like. She was a bit rough around the edges and it didn't seem like she warmed up soon enough for me.
I was worried there was going to be tons of wildfire information but it really wasn't all that bad. I could've gone without some of it but it wasn't as tedious as the telling in The Search.
The love story between Ro's dad and Ella was lovely! He was so adorable as a shy man in his fifties. I loved it.
This was a good story with an awesome hero. I really loved Gull. I had several LOL moments in this one.
A good read.
