Loved, loved, loved this book! It was such a sweet and heart-breaking novel to read. The nightmare that Genevieve experienced at the hands of the McHugh's was absolutely horrifying! I wanted to weep for her. She suffered so much...and then Bowen Montgomery came into her life and made it a wonderful thing.
The love scenes were beautiful and sweet. Bowen was so gentle and caring. Genevieve showed such strength for all she had been through. Many other women would have broken.
I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first in the series but I really do like all of her historical books. IMO, she writes a better historical than contemporary. Even though, I do enjoy her contemporary and suspense novels, her historicals are more enjoyable to me.
